Art Therapy is a type of art which enriches the lives of individuals through an integrative mental health and human services profession which involves active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.

Art Therapy includes variety ‏ such as working with clay, painting, making a mask, creating a visual journal, and assembling a collage. Most often, the focus will be on the process rather than creating a finished art product.

‏Art therapists help clients in providing treatment to help deal with challenges in life, illnesses but also to find insight and personal growth. Art therapists are highly professional and well trained in providing verbal counseling.
